Challenges
Pathological examination is the "gold standard" for cancer diagnosis. However, the lack of qualified pathologists and heavy workloads have always been considerable pathology. Traditionally, pathologists need to use the naked eye to analyze the pathological section under a microscope. The Department of Pathology at Ruijin Hospital faces a workload of more than 3,000 cases/day, with yearly cases totaling 800,000 on average, and the workload is on the rise every year.
