Building Global AI Bridges: Korean Business Leaders Visit SenseTime¡¯s Shanghai Headquarters to Explore the Future of AI
A high-level South Korean technology delegation led by Dr. Hong Seok-Hyun, Chairman and CEO of JoongAng Group, recently visited SenseTime¡¯s Shanghai headquarters to gain deeper insights into China¡¯s AI industry and explore opportunities for technological collaboration between the two countries. The 39-member delegation¡¯s visit to SenseTime was a key stop of their Shanghai tour, focusing on the company¡¯s latest developments in computer vision and multimodal large model applications. In addition to SenseTime, the delegation also visited other leading high-tech enterprises and research institutes in Shanghai and Hangzhou.
The delegation comprised key representatives from South Korea¡¯s public, academic, and business sectors, including Jeong Dong-Young, incoming Minister of Unification; Oh Se-Jung, former President of Seoul National University; Cha Moon-Jung, President of Samsung Global Research; and Yun Byung-Se, former Minister of Foreign Affairs. Collectively, they bring deep expertise across AI, semiconductors, digital economy, international relations, and fintech, and play significant roles in shaping Korea¡¯s innovation policies and cross-border collaboration with China.

Since entering the South Korean market in 2019, SenseTime has remained aligned with its ¡°Powered by SenseTime¡± strategy. The company has built long-term partnerships with over 50 Korean organizations across industries such as smart buildings, finance, internet services, and robotics.
